BEWARE OF BOGNERMANIAC - HE SOLD ME A FAKE CAMERON

OK guys, I haven't read the whole thread, but from my understanding of the situation and human beings in general, here's how it must have happened:

- Bognermaniac, who isn't as much of a gear connoisseur as some other people on here, thinks he has a Cameron build and tries to sell it as such
- Bognermaniac later learns that the amp he sold is NOT a Cameron build. This is where it gets tricky. He feels cheated, he also feels bad, but he doesn't want to take the hit and deal with the whole mess. He then tries to pass on the "hit" to his buyer (rockinchippy) and acts like it wasn't supposed to be a Cameron build in the first place
- Rockinchippy puts some pressure on Bognermaniac, who finally sends and refund and reluctantly will have to deal with the amp and situation

OK, he knew he was selling an amp that was not made by Mark yet he advertised it that way to get more money, then refused to refund at first, then back tracked and indicated he'd been duped when it was clear he knew the whole time from his responses to the buyer. Yeah, so, you missed some stuff...

It is clear as day that he knew as his initial response to the buyer was "I never said Mark built it". If you thought Mark built it, why would you say that? If you'd just found out it was not built by Mark, why wouldn't you say you had been duped right off?

What they are saying is that it is unclear whoever sold it to him (Splawner's name was thrown in somewhere) sold it to him as a Cameron. The reasoning is he found out it wasn't a real Cameron and got duped so he tried to sell it off as one and dupe someone else as to not take a financial hit... Still makes him a scumbag though

Whether he knew from the start that it wasn't a Cameron build isn't a certitude.
It's your interpretation of the situation, which is also very plausible
If he knew from the start, it's pretty bad. If he found out after the deal, he's still at fault for making stuff up and trying to pass it off as a misunderstanding
Either way, bad move from Bognermaniac

yes, this was my only point, that there may be more than him.. its possible for him to be BOTH a scumbag AND have been duped himself... but not enough info so far-as to the latter..

Exactly, doesn't remove his scumbogner-ness, but could involve someone else's scumishness... But unless we hear from whoever owned it between Vince and Bogner misery loves its company so Bog could throw literally anyone under the bus

He's actually a very humble talented musician that could offer some great insight here if he wanted. His current group opens for some big acts. He screwed up.
