Great stuff here, that hasn't been heard by many...
Saw that tour at First Ave in Minneapolis. It was Nuclear assault/Savatage/Testament. Gutter ballet tour. Place was packed.I was just listening to HOTMK this morning.
I saw them open for Testament back in I'm gonna say 1989 or so in Toronto. I had never heard them before and they blew Testament off the stage. I went right out and bought HOTMK and shortly after that Gutter Ballet.
Criss was a monster player. His melody and phrasing were just so great.
Yes, that was it. We walked in late just as Nuclear Assault finished their last song. I'm thinking "now I have to sit through a boring band before Testament comes on". I've never been so wrong. Doc's drum kit was insane.Saw that tour at First Ave in Minneapolis. It was Nuclear assault/Savatage/Testament. Gutter ballet tour. Place was packed.
I was just listening to the YT album and instantly noticed this. It's in a few songs...Cool how that ending riff of “follow me” off edge of thorns was used in a couple songs prior. Really tried to find a place for it. My fav track on here is The Message/track 7. Frick jams
I can't remember exactly how they had it set up at the Toronto show, but I know they had plenty of room. The stage at the concert hall there is pretty big.Yeah it was. They didn't have much room at all from what I remember cuz Testament backlined, and had kit on riser, so the guys really couldn't move back and forth in front of Doc's kit.
