I tried it and IMO it's the best amp simu available today on DAW.
It's perfect.
The amp sim is great, but the product is not perfect.
My main problem is that you can not fully disable the cab/mic section, which is very weak. I want to use Torpedo WoS.
You can disable the cab section.

You are sure?

When you bypass the cab IMO you bypass the mic too. It makes no sense to keep the mic.

True. Move the mic around and hear for yourself.

i got bias and jamup pro for my ipad 4 and have only used it briefly but it seems pretty feature packed.

cool that you can jam with itunes library and i found the latency reduction feature helpful.

how do you properly save a configuration you create?

I really dogged P.G. for how they handled the BIAS Desktop launch.

Now that I've been using it I feel that it is really really good. It has become my favorite go-to amp modeler.

..and what is the best interface to use for quality and low latency?
i'm using the peavey ampkit link because i already had it but i suppose the apogee thing would be a step up?

I have the older Apogee Jam...works fine but since I have an iPhone 6+, the jam only has the 30 pin connector...I have the adaptor for it but I have to take my phone out of its case everytime I want to use it. I think they may sell a newer jam now with lightning cable but I'm not positive. Taking the phone out of the case is a PITA.

To save a setting in JamUp, tap and hold your finger on the block you desire to save on, then enter a name and you are set.

We have a JamUp HD plug for JamUp and BIAS iOS if you are interested in a higher quality plug.

Technical specs:
• 1/4-inch stereo phone jack
• 1/8-inch headphone jack
• 30-pin dock iOS device connection
• Works for Lightning interface via 30-pin to Lightning adaptor (not included)
• Maximum Input Level: up to 5 Vrms
• 500kΩ (mono), 1MΩ (stereo) input impedance
• 0.6Ω output impedance
• SNR: 98 dB RMS
• Distortion (THD): 0.005%
• Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz, +/- 0.2 dB
• Conversion: 24-bit A/D
• Sampling Rate: 44.1 and 48 kHz

I love the Bias Desktop Marshall tones.
The mesa lead tone and the 5153 just kill.

Awesome!

Nice gear list too, have you tried running BIAS through your rig yet?

Thx.
Ummm no, i havent hooked bias to my rig. I get confused on what the chain would be.

Can u give mecan example of how to do it by lookin at my gear list?

Thx.

Going into a power amp and then cabinet is pretty common :)

Really?? From my CPU?? I understand plugging into the Duet. Opening logic, opening Bias. But how do i get the sound out of the CPU and into a power amp??

I never looked at Bias because I thought it was IOS only.I may checkout Bias desktop for Windows. kind of disappointing that Reaper is not supported. Not sure i want to switch DAWs.

cant you route your i/o to one the outputs then to your poweramp? I havent tried but should work...
also I have the demo version I like it but IM wondering exactly what amps im getting with the basic version? dosent really specify unless im missing something...also I can use all the effects in my daw anyway so not concerned with that part although it would be nice...
while im at it...can you save a preset on your phone /ipad that uses effects then open in your daw?

I'm not sure that method would work with the Duet.

We are looking into implementing full bypass of the cab and mic :)

Standard version includes

36 authentic amp models to get started.
Complete BIAS amp design modules for customization.
Download thousands of amp models from ToneCloud.
Sync with BIAS iPad and iPhone.

Preset loading from JamUp into BIAS Desktop is not possible at this time.

I tried it. It really works amazingly. I tried duplicating an isolated guitar track from an album and it can get really really close, like 90 percent. The matching feature is simply beautiful. I've been using it only for a week now, but I'm sure it's only gonna get better with time, as I get the hang of it.
