He had some 4x12's listed on ATL Craigslist a few weeks ago.

They are a super talented band for sure, they are the real deal.

Thats sad a guy of his prominence has to do that!

These guys are always selling shit. They are just victims of GAS like everyone else.

This has been going on for YEARS. Bran is selling their old tour van right now

These guys dint make money like you think anymore. I suspect that there are people on the forum that rake in more cash on their day jobs than some of these bands

i don't think that's a realistic representation for the average show guarantee

It's sad when marilyn manson and slipknot make more than Judas Priest, but thats the market.

Pathetic to say the least.

I don't think they are necessarily poor or hurting for money, but Bill is a damn gear fiend like a lot of us. How else is he supposed to get rid of stuff he doesn't want anymore?

Here is some inside baseball on pay rates...Mastodon are probably a 1-200K Guarantee for their shows.

I booked and promoted a Mastodon show in a 1500 seat venue just over a year ago , and I can tell you that their guarantee was nowhere close to that amount

Must've been a HUGE festival to pay multiple bands MILLIONS of dollars.

Keep in mind that they're paying their entire crew with these salaries.

Yeah, I don't think he's hurting for money at all. Just working class type band plus the gear whoring doesn't help. I met him at Skyzone in Atlanta a year or so ago jumping on trampolines with his kid. Normal dude.

Can someone please enlighten me as to what the big deal is with this? Don't most normal people flog gear they don't want on eBay? Or am I missing something?

Bill bought my 2203 a few months ago, but he also sells a ton of shit. He's a collector as well as a musician. He'll off stuff he's no longer interested in or feel he needs and keeps the stuff he wants.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that he isn't just whoring his gear out. He's using the money to buy more fun gear.
