Just got mine in on Tuesday ordered from Sweetwater and out of the box the Golden Axe looks amazing fit and finish are great!! The pickgaurd has one screw thats a touch off center but otherwise great! The neck on this is amazing very fast surprisingly I warmed up to the pickups playing through the HBE on the Axe 2 but time will tell may go with some BKs in the future. This is my first Explorer I could def see buying another if it had similar appointments primarily burst finish and cool inlays!

An Explorer is one of those guitars that, if you haven't had one, you make a lot of assumptions about. They are meaty but not bulky. Easy access everywhere. Great balance, not as heavy as you think it should be. Just a killer design.
