Is this something that is in the works???

Hybrid between the SS100 and JJ100?

While I love my JJ, an amp that does vintage as well as the SS and high gain as well as the JJ is my ultimate grail. Actually, that is why I bought the JJ, because it did both of those so well. A JJ with an even better vintage channel would be awesome. If this happens it might be the only thing that could peel me away from my JJ.

Something like a Dirty Shirley or Smallbox Plexi channel (or Fargen 60s mode from the Olde 800 mkII) combined with a JJ BE channel would cover everything under the sun. Might be tricky to make em both sound right with the same power section.
The JJ has my favorite dirty channel of all the amps I've owned.
Oh, check this...Germino Club 40 clean(ish) channel with JJ BE dirty channel in a 50 watt format. Best of cleans, pedal format and light crunch with the C40, best modern dirt tone with the JJ. That would be my dream amp. Let the JJ side have the effects loop and master volume, C40 side be exactly like a JTM50.

YES! The 60's mode on my Fargen MPMKII was probably the only reason I held onto it once re-acquired a 2204. I freaking loved the 60's mode. Beano tone all day long. Beautiful thick blues Marshall tone through my Scumback M75. I find myself endlessly tweaking the JJ to try and get as close as possible to that tone. The best thing I've done to get closer to that sound is put NOS Mullards in the preamp section.

I've grown to love both the BE and JBE modes on the JJ and I don't think I'd want to live without either of those. I love the clean channel. If I could get a third mode on the JJ that gave me JTM45, BE, and JBE I would never GAS for another amp. As it is, I no longer GAS for anything for rock or metal. I'm completely satisfied with the JJ in that range. For me it's lacking in blues tones. Not to say you CAN'T do blues in BE mode, but a JTM45 voicing would do it better IMO.

So there you have it... my dream amp
A BE100 style amp with footswitchable 3 way voicing; JTM45, BE, JBE
