Couple things with respect to this video...

Corgan is so cool - first up, most of the Premier Guitar rig rundowns have the tech - not the star - going through their gear.
Corgan's got a laid back, zero ego attitude, I always like that about a person, especially one who's so in the limelight.
He professes to "not be technical" but also stands firm on many technical things - short cables, fewer FX, direct-in sound, etc.
Knows his guitars.

I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for posting.

Clearly you've never met Corgan if you think he's a laid back, zero ego dude. He's anything but.

I have met him a few times, always a jerk. Ive heard heard plenty of stories of people who have had to deal with him. For me, its hard to respect someone as a musicians when I know clearly how disgusting of a person they are.

Why would anybody care if BG was getting "90%" of his guitar tone from whichever respective album?? I think he comes across very egotistical and didn't have his guitar tech do the video because he's a camera hog. I chuckled when I saw this video because I never equated Corgan with great tone, plus the way he kept referring to his "Billy Corgan Signature Guitar" got a little annoying.....I will admit that I am a little skewed because he reminds of a lead singer/guitar player I once worked with that annoyed the shit out of me.....plus, his attempt to copy Tyson Meade's vocal style from the Chainsaw Kittens pales in comparison......IMO.

Tyson Todd Meade (born September 15, 1962) is an American musician, painter, writer, teacher, and disc jockey best known as the principle singer and songwriter for pioneering alternative rock bands Defenestration and Chainsaw Kittens. Defenestration is credited in the book Road to Nirvana as one of the bands that influenced Kurt Cobain’s music[1] and Billy Corgan often credited Chainsaw Kittens as one of his favorite bands—Corgan even once wrote Meade when he was working the first Smashing Pumpkins album lauding the brilliance of Chainsaw Kittens first album, Violent Religion.[1] Meade has been referred to as the Godfather of alternative rock music.[2]
