Is it me or is Billy Blades out of breath all the time? Does he weigh 270 and smoke a lot of weed? By the look of those head cabs I'd say so. The green tolex alla lynchbox is a bit better but the big ass logo and thunderbolts are cheesy (and tacky) as fuck. Lose the gold knobs too.

I'm the only one giving the amp any sort of benefit of the doubt. I listened to YT clips of BB modded amps. They sound good. The uneven seams on the cabs are visible without even looking close. I can give him props for going after his dream.

The wood work is the weak link. Either be man enough to admit that and get someone that is an expert, or put out a potentially good modded Marshall tone in a shitty box.

Agreed... He could go to mojotone for cabs and be done with it. That cab should go into the dumpster.

It's tacky and will deter sales on cosmetics alone. Even with the Splawn non-traditional headshell stuff being tastefully done 99% of the time, it still routinely hurts second-hand resale on those amps. Looking at what sells and doesn't on the used marketplace is FREE market research for a manufacturer. Foolish to ignore it.

But from his videos.....he is calling them "Cameron" mods.....
even Cameron didnt call them CAMERON mods....

Keep in mind old Billy 6 months ago came on many forums asking for all the "Cameron Secrets, Jose Secrets, etc" slamming Cameron, Friedman, and others for coping Jose designs, and that he just wanted them for his own amps. He criticized all the other amp builders who used the solid state clipping circuit that Jose originally came up with and said he would never do that...... for profit...... LOL

I know for a fact that some of the schematics he got were incorrect on purpose because guys were Leary of him mass producing them. He went to the SLO Clone forums a while back asking for all kinds of help and schematics for his so called Cameron copies. If he bought the real ones and reversed them as he claims, why would he ask for all that help? LOL


I did think I heard, I could be incorrect, that with each amp ordered, you get a free Rainbow tattoo

I do remember when he 1st came about......saying he would do the mods for much cheaper then anyone....not in it for the cash.....yadda yadda....
I dont see anything cheap about his mod prices??

I remember he was trying to troll me for gut shots of one of my Cameron modded Marshall amps I sold last summer. Tried to say he was interested in buying... blah,blah,blah. Had no intention of buying was just trying to reverse engineer. I told him he can buy it and take all the gut shots he wants.

One of the guys that got burned heavy gave billy the schematics for some of marks stuff. He also gave it to another guy who mods amps. The cats out of the bag pretty much. Now I don't know how capable blades is at doing or copying the work but it isn't rocket science but his clips still don't sound all that great to me so who knows.
