hell yes... Splawn is on my bucket list of amps.

you've had a struggle with gear of late...may be this one will be the prize for you.

Good luck...I had two, FULL of cold solder joints and cheap parts. Glad they're gone.

Very encouraging, thanks.
I believe your thoughts are in the minority. I've owned 2 Splawns, never a hint of trouble.

I sold both my QR and Nitro a few weeks ago. I'm hoping to get a 50 watt version of one of them in the next few weeks. I think you can get a Nitro fully loaded now as well.

Congrats on the amp! Take pics!

Wasn't trying to be discouraging, just sharing my experience with the 2 I had, I hope you have better luck than I did.

I've had 4 splawns.Never had a problem. Congrats QR is a smokin amp

I've had 4 Splawns at this point. No issues with any, and QR is right next to the Diezel Herbert as my go to amp.

I'm having Scott build me and my other guitarist 50 watt lunchbox SS with the QR circuit for travel rigs. Can't wait for those.

Congrats, the QR is an excellent modded Marshall type.

Congrat's!
I too just placed an order with Scott last week for a loaded KT88 Nitro! Can't wait!

good luck man. splawns are sick, and I hope its the end of a run of bad luck with amps. I'm kinda sick of the chase myself, and after going through dozens and dozens ove rthe years, I'm trying to make the one I have my personal favorite, and end the madness for a bit lol.

Congratulations man. I love mine. Its my first SPLAWN product (Quickrod 100 EL34) and my experience was fantastic. Superb build quality and world class customer service. Regarding cold solder joints... I read somewhere , could have been in a thread on this forum that years ago Scott was trying out some circuit boards from a new company and found out quick that they were not up to his standards and resolved that problem right away. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me can confirm this but it makes sense. Anyway... I think your going to be amazed. Did you go fully loaded? I did and love having all the options available. Here is mine:

I had a 2016 ish Splawn and went to swap out V1 for a high grade tube and the socket came loose and basically had to be replaced, tech said the parts inside were cheap as well, meh - YMMV, good luck, when they're working they sound pretty good.

Congrats! I was just doing some recording with my QR today. They're killer amps!

A lot of it is the Rohs compliant solder they have to use now I guess, makes it harder to get a good joint, so the amps end up with cold solder joints, and both of mine the half power switches were cheap Chinese ones that were arcing. Like I said, YMMV. Good luck.

'bout time

Good luck and keep us posted. Also curious what options you went with. Very solid amps from a solid guy with a solid reputation and solid customer service.

Congrats on your purchase.
Any new updates on these?

Such good amps. Have cranked one in a studio and loved it.
Had to try it after seeing Steve Stevens using one in NY and was floored by his tone.
Will own one in time.

Yep, 'bout time is right. It's just a base model Quick Rod in a black Nitro headshell. Somebody backed out of a deal, and I scooped it up. It was already 2/3 built, and shipping next week. I didn't need bells and whistles, they sound great bare bones!

What speakers are you gonna be using ?

Love my 2006 QR. I have played a few amps recently, as I was kinda getting GAS. I quickly realized the the QR is THE sound in my head.
