Bumping this.

Im thinking about going with some BKP RY in my Les Paul Custom (maple neck). Any thoughts? Good match?
It's going to matter more with the guitar itself over the wood IMO. If it's balanced overall, or heavy in the low end and darker, the RY work great in my experience. If the guitar is already bright, and thinner in the lows, I didn't like the results as much. YMMV of course, as this thread shows you.

I should have a RY bridge with gold cover for sale tomorrow if anyone is interested in one.
If so shoot me a PM

As Erock said it will depend on the LP, if it is already very bright you may have different results. I put some in my studio that is dark and warm, the stock pickups made it sound muddy with gain but Rebell Yell's where just a perfect match, imo one of the overall best pickups for a LP. They are pretty high output compared to the stock gibson pickups so you'll have to obviously dial in your gear differently. Also as with every BKP i played the cleans are just superb...

I would go with the rebel yell. There isn't a amp I have that they don't scream on. Love them.

Well it seems it wouldn't be a good choice then, my LPC is already bright. Not in a bad way of course, but it is a bright Les Paul.
