I wanna get a pickup very much like ceramic nailbomb with more low mid grind. Any ideas?

why dont you shoot em an email

they have been pretty open and helpful for me in the past

maybe even a painkiller due to the larger ceramic magnet but it adds alot of high mids as well, Are you looking to thicken up the guitar with the low mids? as the CS and C-bomb already pack a pretty big ceramic low mid.

Cold sweat?

Really? I thought it had more of high mid grind to it. I'm gonna order a set of cold sweats soon anyway, but if they really have more low mid grind than ceramic nailbombs I'll install it in my Horizon, instead of my LP.

The thing is that I already have owned almost all the BKPs, so I kinda wanted to know more of other brands.

The painkiller I've already owned. Found it lacking some low end & too much high mids. I want more of that "brown" sound, so yes more low mids, but no more other stuff is what I'm after.

Anderson H2+ or H3!

OK, are you comparing it to the cbomb or something else I know in some way, because otherwise it doesn't help.

Call Wade at motor city and describe what you want the pickup to sound like, he will wind it for you and tweak it until your happy.

only BK i've been around is the Rebel Yell, so can't compare to the nailbomb.

the H2+ and H3 are ceramic, but don't necessarily sound like a ceramic Duncan such as the Distortion. they are more middy than the distortion, especially the H2+. they're are kind of a cross between an A5 Duncan sound and a Ceramic Duncan.

if you're really after the Brown sound and tons of low mids, then maybe the new EVH pickup or a Warren DeMartini Custom would be the way to go?

Have you tried Warpigs? They have some serious low-mid grind, especially the alnico ones. The ceramic ones have it too, but the mids are overall a little smoother.

well Ceramic magnets do smooth out the mid alot but at the same time lots of low mid, So i dont think a alnico warpig would be a good choice, having heard C-bomb's and Cold sweats yes the cold sweats are bright but the c-bomb will never have the clarity of a Cold sweat

I do own a RY. Can you compare the 2?

I have a set of c-pigs. Too much low end.

all ceramic bkps have thick magnets
the c-bomb already has more low mid grind than the pk and cs

both hotter and better than the RY, with more lower mids and over all balance top to bottom.

The Holy Diver is a good call if you like your low mids

I didn't like the HD at all, sounded all weird to me all over the place.
