So I found an old post with pic and bumped it.
The post is what guitar did you always want and finally get ?
I'm not a teche so I don't know how to shrink file or post link but if you go look at that post there is a pic .

Looks great! my first pro guitar was a parts guitar, Charvel Star with a Performance Guitar neck and brass bridge, would always hate when I broke those whammy bars inside of the bridge though haha

Man you must have been going crazy on the bar. I've never broken a screw in bar...

I think this guitar is better this way.

The Ebanol Nuts get screwed in through the the old back hole routes for a Floyd nut. This guitar never had those routes as I top mounted the original Floyd nut. Also, the Ebanol nuts are no longer made. Can't find them anywhere. I got one from a friend for my other project that has the back hole routes for the Floyd nut.

Makes sense. Just wasn't sure if you knew about them. I tried to find a link to them to post but they don't appear on Allparts site anymore and any other site says not in stock so maybe you're right and they don't make them. I've never tried one. You'd think there would be more options out there.

Awesome star steve! back in 82 i bought a charvel "shazam" star and it had one of the best necks i ever played to this day!
Why i parted with it in 86 i will never know I guess i got tired of that graphic but the neck was so killer on it!
i dont have any pics of it but it was the same as this only with a 21 fret strat head neck.

Man I love star guitars. I've never had one but I will get a Charvel star someday. Oh yes it will be mine. Steve, are you looking to adopt any 38 year olds? If so, I'm housebroken and would clean all your amazing guitars
