With Black Friday a week away, it might be helpful to have a topic to discuss upcoming sales, new gear, what're you're looking for, etc.

I'm keeping an eye peeled for a studio desk and discount on some decent studio monitors. I'm hoping GC does another 20% sale so I can grab one of those RTA desks with built-in racks.

So, any word on what's going on yet?

When I originally saw it, it was $238.00 and over the course of six days it steadily came down.

Ha, the wait is THAT long? If it is, then its a good thing I didn't order. I hate waiting that long for something. However, I think I saw someone selling their BF guitar in the classifieds a few months ago.

A handful of them have started shipping out in the last few weeks. And it wasn't just $600, that was the deposit. Another $740 or so was due upon completion.

I can't find sales on anything I'd consider purchasing. There's some interesting flatscreen deals at Wal-Mart and Best Buy, but I'm not really trying to get trampled to death over a television.

Yeah, on the guitar center website it states: "If the item you want is excluded from this promotion, please call us toll free at (866) 543-0741" so I'm thinking they will probably still give you a deal.

I avoid shopping on Black Friday. I don't like what it represents. Plus for the most part it is shit I would not want on any other day of the year. Friday is no different. Instead I'll take the time to spend with the family or tinker at home. Well that is until all you Black Friday shoppers fuck up our holidays off for a free stuffed animal or xmas sweater at half price.
