exactly; also free blacks also owned black slaves; perhaps not large numbers, but in history of the last 1000 years, most slaves in the world were white - ancient Greeks owned slaves who were usually other Greeks, Persia, Egypt, etc., ancient Rome enslaved people of all races; the Ottomans enslaved Christians from across their empire, and even raided as far as Ireland and Scandinavia to abduct slaves from coastal towns for 100s of years.
