Night Ranger is on tour and had a gig July 5 so that probably why Brad Gillis couldn’t make it. He was always a temporary hired gunQuestion for the Ozzy experts, this just popped up in my head.
Is it me or it's weird that Brad Gillis and Tommy Aldridge were not part of that big concert?
Don’t know about Tommy Aldridge. He’s had big health issues the last few years.

@Subclavian2 @chumbucket I stumble on a random video of Brad filling in following the death of Randy (RIP) and from what I heard he was doing a good job. Make sense that if he was booked elsewhere it was kind of difficult to be part of the event.
As for Tommy, I didn't know about his health condition. I hope he is doing fine.

Brad didn't have long to learn the material before he got thrown in the deep end, but he did a decent job considering. Lots of Floyd action for sure. He has a killer tone on the SOTD album. Mesa Mark of some sort.

Not sure why anyone is surprised Bob or Lee weren't mentioned.
Ozzy and Sharon have done almost everything they could to erase them from Ozzy's history. I mean when you actually go back and re-record bass and drum parts on 30 year old albums, what more can be said about greed. I washed my hands with Ozzy after that. It's like when I listen to his stuff now he's just a voice that I tune out, I listen for the music.

If it wasn't for Bob Daisley and Randy Rhoads Ozzy would have faded into oblivion in 1981.
