My wife and I went to see Blackberry Smoke Saturdayat the Houston House of Blues. Talk about a killer show. Lots of rockin old school tones. Charlie was playing a Germino 55 through a 212 cab and it sounded absolutely killer. That guy makes everything look so effortless. Just a great night of live music.

Love this band! Missed them in Boston due to a snowstorm, makes you want a p90 jr

Those guys are so killer. I watched their live show on Palladia I think and was thoroughly impressed.

Saw that live show on Palladia. Very cool.
Went and listened to clips of the last few albums. Wow, That was nothing like the live show. Typical Nashville country pop cheese.
I was hoping to get a classic sounding album. Nope. Not even close. :(

I've got all their albums. They have yet to capture their live sound. I really wish they would release a live album.

I was going to mention that.
It might be the way to go.

One of my favorites! The Whipporwill is a flawless album start to finish

I bought the only CD they had at the time at the show I saw them at opening for Cheap Trick. I don't even know of you can find it - Bad Luck Ain't No Crime. That album is straight up hard rock tones. All albums to me sound vastly different but there are great songs on all of them.

If they put out a CD of the Georgia Theatre show, that would be my favorite. They are definitely a live band. One of my favorite bands for a long time now.

Just started getting into these cats. Good stuff. I had a show Saturday night or I would have gone to check them out.

me too!

REALLY good band...loved them!

They were very promising on their first release but they've gotten progressively cheesier. There are some songs on The Whipporwill that have such terrible lines.
