Black hardware. It's pretty sick, but it's so dark purple that most people think it's black.

I also had a gloss black FT Eclipse 1 that I blacked out. I wish I hadn't sold that guitar, but it went to a good home.

I remember your blacked out Eclipse from back in the good ol ESP forum days. That one was sick as well, but I love the purple, that's my favorite.

Sweet! I keep an eye out for those ESP Eclipse 1's all the time but none ever pop up.. I really dislike the newer control configurations mainly due to my sloppy or over enthusiastic strumming technique, Which at times can prove to be problematic...

Lots of great ESP's on this site! you guys have some nice guitars!

I'm doing the exact same thing with the exact same guitar. I found this when searching for what exact hardware to use.
Could you please please let me know what exact hardware you used?
There are so many different types and brands.
My esp Eclipse 1 CTM are from late 2004 if that makes a difference.

So damn beautiful, exactly how I imagined.

Thanks man!

I used the same Gotoh bridge, and a Schaller tailpiece. The bushings that go into the body are M8 size, not M4. To be super sure I'll measure them tomorrow, I'll let you know ;)

Here's another one just because

You know, that's odd. I just replaced the hardware on a different Eclipse (an 04) and the bushing for the stop bar wasn't an M8. I bought a cosmo black Gotoh stop bar and the bolts didn't fit. The bushings ended up being SAE. I can't remember where I bought the replacement bolts, and I can't find the receipt in my e-mail.

I appreciate the response!

Do you know the name/number of the gotoh bridge and tuners?
I've read about people ordering and trying to change with wrong stuff.
And how about the screws for the mic frames and mics? Any special size? It's so diffuse on the webstores!

That's very kind of you!

Indeed, so beautiful.

Definitely looks awesome.

With the gold binding and logo however, either or would work for me.

Cool guitar. WANT..

I'll try and find the orders of the hardware in my mailbox. As far as the black screws for the pickups and pickup rings, I ordered them through a local Dutch guitar shop, nothing really specific.

The gold tuners that came on my Eclipse, 2004 model, where the Sperzels, so the black ones fitted no problem.

Stateside, I'll typically use any combination of stewmac, Philadelphia Luthier Supply and guitarpartsresource for parts including the screws in different finishes.

And, of course, there's eBay.

After two years of owning my Eclipse I with the original gold hardware I decieded to switch to all black hardware. I always wanted to do this but for some reason it took two years :)
Now I only want to replace the EMG 81/60 with black brushed 57/66

That looks way better than the way I imagined it would look! Nicely done!

I'm terribly OCD about my gear, so for the guitars I have EMGs in, I did a little mod work and put gold covers on my set of ZW EMGs. The most difficult part was making the pole piece screws out of normal pole pieces.

Do you plan on swapping out the tuners, or you probably could just paint the string peg and call it done, but otherwise I'd say you did a perfect job man! Usually people forget to swap/paint the chrome/gold pickup ring screws, but ypur Eclipse looks amazing man! Great job!!!

I really like this TOO!

Thanks. But mostly it was because I was too cheap to replace the EMGs with gold plated EMGs.

And I got that idea from another Eclipse that I bought from R/T in cherry burst with chrome rings.

I actually don't like EMG's gold plating. It's great they offer it as an option, but it looks a little too "washed out" compared to the gold hardware on my guitars. It almost seems like the gold hue on EMG's pickups matches best with the gold hardware found on Epiphones.

I ended up installing gold pickup covers on my EMGs this pic was taken before I installed the pole pieces, but the gold matches better IMHO, and you can see the EMG cover through the pole piece holes.
