I am relatively unfamiliar with blackmachine. Whats this dude on about that you cant get them anymore, looks like 4 of them were made/sold in january for 2350 GBP. What am I missing?

I think most made today are outsourced/ghostbuilt by another company. He himself doesn't do much, if any, building now, and those are the ones people really want.

No point in debating the pricing. That's been beat to death. If you like it and have the cash, great. Otherwise, best not to expend the effort worrying about it.

there is a builder in Russia, I thin D.I. custom guitars, and they build blackmachine replicas.

Ive never played a black machine or even seen one in person, that said I still believe the hype is ridiculous. Its all based on the notion that no other luthier on the planet could replicate one. Its as if people,that is " fanboys", believe he had access to magic woods and tools then added some magic fairy dust for good measure. The bodies are pretty primitive, Flat tops with beveled edges. Pretty sure any skilled builder using good materials could take some measurements and build an exact copy of one that would be indistinguishable from an original whose owner views as "the holy grail".
