Just from the board itself I'd say that's John John...
Dude's a sick ripper man, talk about innovation in the realm of "surfing" - superstar for sure. Love that kid.
Oh, this is a music forum - riiiiiiiiiiight
Aren't you from some frozen arctic part of Canada? You know surfers? John John is very good.
I travel all over the world to surf dude, and oversee and fund several shaping businesses. I love surfing more than anything. Used to be a WESC competitor along with all the other comps, and we as "extreme skiers" actually have something else in common - if we're not going to Portillo in the off-months, we surf. Weird eh? And oddly enough, Vancouver Island's "Tofino" district (about a 6-8 hour commute from Whistler along with a ferry ride) has monster waves in the winter, and small mushburgers in the summer. I just don't get on well with wetsuits - but in a pinch, sure, I'll take the seal skin and cold water to get my groove on... But having done the coldwater scene, I found for a couple extra hun, I could fly my ass to the Hawaiian Islands and surf warm water for a couple weeks just the same...but warmer
Jon Pyzel, Matt Kazuma Kinoshita, Wooster, Biolos, Hayden (Cox), Darren (Handley), Sir Kingsley........we're all in the same group of nutbars who work the foam and surf to live and live to surf. I'm 1-2 years away (give or take) to wrapping my life up here in Whistler and moving to a tropical environ where I plan on just shaping, surfing, and easy living. Hard to say if my warehouse of amps and guitars is coming with me - depends on the location... Humidity and saline air don't do amps and guitars any favours. But having just come back from 3 years in Costa Rica (to surf) I know what I want to be doing - and I know all too well the golden handcuffs of western civilization are just that - they're fucking handcuffs
Ride on Bro!!! And ya, JJF is sick, but my guy is definitely Toledo - christ they're all good - Medina was so close to getting in there and still has it - but Filipe (Toledo) has been putting in the time. He's going to be John's biggest rival. Also watch out for the QS cats - some heavy talent in there too. And then the free surf scene - Machado is as cool as they get - and the lines that CRAIG ANDERSON

- throws down are just incredible.
So ya, I surf. And plan on surfing daily till I'm dead in the next couple years. It's just that good
