Blew a fuse the other night and it either shattered in the fuse socket or crumbled when I took it out. :scared: I dump it out and shop vac'd the broken glass. I know how to re-tube and bias and have the tools, my uncle is also an electrical engineer so I can ask for general electrical guidence from him too. I'm just looking for some guidelines from the amp guru's.
I'm wondering if their other damage to the amp or tubes? I don't know if the tubes are still good or how to tell either? It is just the outer pair that the fuse/blown tube light lite up on. It also still worked after the blown fuse light lite up.
What size of fuse and what type of fuse should I use (ceramic -vs- glass) I think it is a 0.5 amps?

Ceramic 0,5 amps slow blow.

If the fuse blows again replace power tubes
and bias it. If You are not skilled call a tech.

Thank you Papa D! I'll let you know if I have any problems.

Just a blown fuse. Seems to work fine now.

What are some causes for a blown fuse?

It was a short on the power tubes.
Please hit the power tubes slightly
when they are hot. If they flashes
or get red plating replace them.

Its an informative topic. It help me very much to solve some problems. Its opportunity are so fantastic and working style so speedy. I think it may be help all of you. Thanks.
