Hi,
The opportunity has come up to get a Bogen CHB-20 at a good price. From the specs I see, it only has two pre-amp stages. Do any of you know whether the power transformer is able to handle another 12AX7? I'd like to bring the preamp up to at least 3 tube stages for JMP Super-Lead purposes. I've heard Bogen slightly undersized the transformers on this model, and I'm unsure if the extra 1-2 W(?) that I expect another (dual) triode to require will make a difference.
