E ewill52 Well-known member May 21, 2019 #1 Just started blowing HT fuses. Are power tubes usually the culprit with these?
blackba Well-known member May 21, 2019 #2 HT fuse is typically the power tubes. Haven't worked on a Bogner, but I would assume this would apply to them.

R Racerxrated Well-known member May 21, 2019 #4 If it still pops the fuse after replacing with known good power tubes, then it's probably the PT.
lespaul6 Well-known member May 21, 2019 #5 You could also remove the power tubes, replace the HT fuse, turn the amp off stanby and if it blows then its NOT the tubes.

Click to expand... This is what I would do. It is the safest route. But yeah, nine times out of ten its power tubes. I must also be honest I have not worked on a bogner.

E ewill52 Well-known member May 22, 2019 #8 it's overdue for tubes. I've put some hours and travel on it this last year. Think I'm going to just buy a set of JJ's and maybe a Tung Sol for V1.

skullfxr Well-known member May 22, 2019 #9 I would also vote for JJ's. They are probably one of the most consistent tubes that I use regularly. I would pick up a sovtek LPS for the PI.
