Bogner ecstasy 101B footswitch issue

I suspect it’s the LED as it worked perfectly until it didn’t. Amp works fine without the switcher. Plug in the dedicated switcher and it doesn’t change to the 2nd channel. How easy is the fix and what is required ? I know a few folks here have had this problem. Yes the 2nd channel LED of the foot switch doesn’t light up. But the 2nd channel of the amp works when the FS is not inserted. Thanks
 
It’s probably the led. They’re simple to replace. My FX loop bulb went out and I replaced it myself. For some reason the bulb is part of the circuit so when they go out you lose the function.
 
Yup. It’s a n LED. When I had my older 97 XTC years back, I had the same problem. Soldered in a new one and all was good.
 
Open the unit? Pull 2nd channel LED and resolder? Anything special about the LED??
 
Most likely mouser or digikey. Can probably get something from amazon as well
This would be for the blue channel?
Searching something along the lines of “blue 5mm led” or the like should do it

I don’t actually know if they are using 3, 4, or 5mm style lamps though (that would be the size of the dome of the through hole style lamp); might also just be able to ask bogner directly
 
Using calipers to measure, the led’s on my switch appear to be 5mm. I hope you’ll update once the repairs completed.
