Intriguing amp... I can't decide if what I've heard would mean I would like it or love it (I don't think I'd hate it). I really need to find an excuse/way to try one of these out sometime.

Looks great and 9 feedback 100% isn't horrible but with $200 protection, I wouldn't touch that unless I can pick it up.

Great price indeed though.

Why not? Just use a credit card with paypal. If you don't get the amp you do a chargeback. Basically zero risk. If not using a credit card (which is stupid under any circumstance) then yeah, I agree.

Did you ever play mine the week I owned one?

I had your Ecstasy 101B for a week or so. I thought it was pretty cool. It honestly didn't floor me, which surprised the heck out of me. Did you have an Ecstasy Classic too?

I had a 101B?

That's a stupid good price for a Classic. The 101b with the A/AB option goes for that amount...the Classic is more expensive. As to which one is better...that's pretty subjective. The classic sounds a bit more raw and organic, the 101b sounds a little more compressed and modern. (All IMHO, of course.) I played both and opted for the 101b, but it wasn't a "night and day" kind of difference...I just preferred the structure of the 101b a little more. If I never compared the 2 together, I would've jumped on the classic. Others prefer the classic by a large margin. One thing for sure, the Ecstasy is not a plug and play amp...spend a little time reading the manual before you get the amp (if you decide to buy it) and you'll be a happy camper when you do crank it up. If you're not, then you could flip the amp and probably make money. Classics are going for more than that one is listed for.

Ha ha ha! Yep, that's what you had. I guess the Ecstasy Classic sounds a little more "open" or something (so I've heard.) I've been told that I'd like it more than a 101A/B.

As far as I know, you can tell a "Classic" from the chrome chassis.

Yep, Chris...

You'd like the Classic more than a 101B.
More open, more "bark", more raw, less saturation, same gain, better cleans, more clarity...
Just more.... right.
(in my opinion)

I bought my Classic for $3300 and sold it for the same price. I can't believe that one is still for sale.
