That sounds fantastic! Mighty tasty playing too.

Thanks! Not bad. Pedal makes a Strat pretty wicked. Amp was the Germino set to anemic level

Sounds great Carl! Tone and playing.

Knowing that this is Rig Talk you threw that last part in there to feed the beast didn't you.

What amp did you use if you don't mind me asking...do you have a Germino I lost track of what you're using...lol

I got a Germino Fillmore 100. With a Master Volume. And a Hi-Tone (Hiwatt) 50 watt Jimmy Page model. This clip is the Germino. The amp was barely on, it's all the pedal.

IMO all Bogners sound pretty great with strats, I've had 3 Xtc's (down to one), a Shiva and a Duende plus the blue and red pedal and I think the extra low mid thing really works well for single coil guitars. The response feel wise and frequency response make switching between singles and HB's really work on these amps and that's one of the main reasons I like them so much. Nice clip

Fantastic playing and tone. I've been in the fence about trying one those but now I'm sure I will. You still have the Morris?

Honestly one of the best sounding clips of that pedal out there and it's at low volume. Imagine it cranked!

Agree. I found depending on the guitar and humbuckers the Bogber voicing can get too much in the low mids and not enough in the highs. That said Ive played some single coils that didn't jive at all through that voicing and it depends on the model of Bogner as well. It's all about the whole signal chain.... from the hands and pick all the way down to the speakers. Bogner is till one of my favorite builders.

Thanks. I sold the Morris. Nothing wrong with it, but I like the Germino and Hi-Tone and pedals. I can vary or try to cop different tones by changing pedals, which I got a lot of. The Bogner Blue is also awesome, IMO.

I got recordings of my old 101b w/ a Strat and these pedals are damn spot on, IMO

that last chord on feel your love tonight was so "ampy" at low volume!

did not sound like a pedal at all

now hit the blue demo c-slice!

i remember in the demo room really loving the dynamic 3D vibe of the blue pedal and thinking i could use the blue for grit to mean volume knob rhythm and boost it for a nice slow to mid tempo lead tone, and then go red for full tilt lead sound with a switcher, and it would be quite a great pair!

(ps have you heard the unique vibe of bella epoch in person yet? thought of you when i heard the clips)

I recently got back into recording myself practicing/ messing around. I kinda got the Red the way I like it. Next time I'll record the Blue.

Never tried the Bella Epoch. The TC pedals on this clip. Flashback and Hall Of Fame

Does this pedal get you in the XTC camp, like the amp?

It's close to the amp, IMO with a few differences. Think the pedal might have more gain than the amp. The squishiness is not really in the pedal. On the amp the B1 and B2 seem to add a bit of gain along with the brightness. Not noticing it on the pedal. Boosted, the amp still cleaned up, not so much on the pedal, although unboosted the pedal cleaned up pretty well.
The pedal does sound like my old Ecstasy 101 recordings.

Sounds great, but if you can play like that, just about anything sounds great...

Great playing & tone. Makes me want the Red. Or The Blue. How would you compare the two ?

The Blue is awesome. It's less savage than the red. More mids for sure. Still gets a ton of gain if needed.

Thanks for the details. I now may have to get both!
