Let's get some love for this amazing amp! I see this amp as a 1 channel high gain modded 800 by Reinhold. Just incredible perfect Marshall jose mod tones.

Definitely DO try one out. A lot of people seem to overlook them because of the "ch 1 is useless on hot input". However, you just have to look at the helios as a super 1 channel amp for med to high gain sounds.

I liked mine, best sounds in it for me were with the tone stack bypassed.
Biggest drawback was the radio stations that played through it no after where I was, and it was more often than not Mexican Mariachi music

Definitely have to have the one channel amp mentality. It's a killer amp. I primarily lived in hot 80's mode boosted, but could easily live with the voicing in 70's.

LOVE my Helios!
I’ve had it almost one year.
I played a gig about 6 weeks after i bought it, and I had it set to ‘70s mode, Hot input, b2, Ch.2, and ran it through a Suhr 4x12 loaded with 25w greenbacks.(master volume not quite at 11 o’clock)
It sounded f_cking amazing. It has this sort of raw/unpolished thing going on, that for rock/hard rock is just perfect.
It is the modded Plexi I’ve always wanted.
