Lol. It was the slanted cab. Mystery solved. Call off the investigation.

Nothing new here.

Reinhold has been ripping off Marshall-tone for years.

I have better ways to spend 5K.

Dude, this amp is cheaper than the Friedman stuff. And a lot of people have been ripping off Marshall for years. All the way back to Marshall ripping off Fender. Why the attitude? It seems to be a great sounding amp for a pretty good price. It just seems that if it isn't friedman it's an overpriced Marshall ripoff to you. I would probably buy this amp before I bought a BE. Simply because I could get what I needed out of it for about a grand less than a BE. Which I think is a great amp too. But, if the initial clips are any indication, this could serve me just as well as the BE.

As for the people saying it's thin and no bottom end. I bet this amp freakin rips in person.
I can get just as good a tones with my UK DSL and some pedals, just sayin.

The Vietnamese made DSL series sounds better.

Not what i've heard but haven't played one ...

There's a control on the back panel for "bottom". Wonder where it was set for the demo?

Another watch and I saw the second mic below on the other speaker.
I'm intrigued enough to hear it in person.

It shows everybody hears things different (Bogner blanket thread)
Here is a barnburner throwback. A Marshall style w/ a Bogner twist, and most importantly....the price point.
Sounds awesome to me. I'd be at home w/ this head in about 5 minutes.
This is pretty much how I'm looking at this amp

Yup. There is definitely some V30 in that audio.

It would be really nice if I could see YouTube vids posted on rig talk on my iphone...the video space is blank. This always annoys me.

Hate is as well!! Is it at all possible to fix?!?!?!?!?!

Try sliding the screen quickly right then quickly left. Works every time but is still annoying. As far as the amp goes, killer tone but more importantly killer price.

Dan, please shut the fuck up and go away! I'm tired of seeing your shitty posts about stuff you don't have a clue about. Please do us all a favor!

We will have the first Helios tomorrow at the shop. It will be on its way to its new home shortly thereafter but I will test it before it goes. No worries more coming.

Guess you can sell your Friedman Mod then since I'd guess you can get just as good as tone out of the DSL and some pedals.

If it's any other manufacturer than Friedman, you bash it saying it's been done before. Newsflash.....Friedman isn't really breaking any new ground either. I like his amps and think they sound great but what he's doing is nothing new or that hasn't been done before. It just gets old, that's all. If I was in the Market for an amp I'd consider this amp. I personally think a 2204 with pedal is the best sound ever but that doesn't mean I wouldn't consider this amp because it could get me there and some.

I have a stock JCM800 2204. I think it sounds great with some pedals. That doesn't mean that the Helios wouldn't work better for me in a gigging situation.
