Bogner Helios tolex

In case any retailer tries to up-charge you for ordering plain tolex on the Bogner Helios, promptly hang up the phone and call Sweetwater. They'll take care of you. Bogner doesn't up-charge for plain tolex.

For the record we haven't charged anybody an up charge for smooth tolex on the Helios but we certainly were under the impression there was an up charge for it as we had been told this directly by Bogner.

As a dealer I can tell you Bogner always charges us extra for non standard Tolex. I am emailing them now to confirm that they have changed this policy. Will post back here what they say? We would love it if this was the case!

here is the email I am sending to Bogner right now:

"Hey Jorg,

Can you confirm there is no upcharge for the Bogner Helios to come in smooth tolex vs the comet. I had a few guys post on the forum say that they called Sweetwater who if fact said smooth (old tolex) was available as an option with no additional fee (ie custom tolex up-charge). We want to be able to offer our customers a competitive experience and need to make sure they get the same price from us as the big guys.

Would definitely be interested to hear what they say, I assumed flat was an up charge too. Is it looking good for the April ship date they have listed Brad? Hearing a lot of buzz all of a sudden!

Would be interested as well. Because when I bought my Bogner 2x12, Brad, you told me there was an upcharge for regular tolex and wheat grill. But my suspicion is that Sweetwater already has those cabs in stock, they aren't ordering them, newly built, from Bogner.

I don't think that's the case because at least in my situation, I had to wait for an order either way since the product I purchased wasn't in stock to begin with.

Good News, No extra charge for the smooth Tolex and Bogner tells me thats all they have for the Helios as it is.
