I want a more portable Bogner 2x12 for smaller gigs and rehearsal. Is it easier to transport than the 4x12? I guess it's a little smaller but not much. Should I go for the smaller Bogner 2x12 or does the OS sound superior? It's for an xtc 100b. I already have a dumble style oval back 2x12 so maybe I don't really need one

It's not that much smaller. But it weighs less because it only has two speakers.

OS212: 25.75" high, weighs 79 lbs.

412: 30.75" high, weighs 100 lbs.

So there's only a 5-inch difference in height between the two. But the 212 weighs 21 lbs less.

I don't know if it's redundant. It is lighter cus it's missing two speakers but I find the tone significantly different than the 4x12 and not in a pleasing way to me. I have never found a 2x12 that compares to a 4x12.

You lose out on vertical space when packing out a 4x12 vs a 2x12 and get a little weight reduction benefit but I find the loss of feel between the two to be a deal breaker. It's worth the extra weight and height for a 4x12.

Meh. I have three Bogner 412 cabs and the OS212 as well. Not a big difference in sound between them. The 212 sounds a little woofier in the lows. The 412 is a little brighter and more directional. But the "tone" is pretty much the same. If you want to nitpick and split hairs... sure, there's a small difference.

The Bogner 212CB is a bit smaller than the OS but is exactly 1/2 of the 4x12 as it is as deep. I have one and love it! Lots of bottom end and sounds fabulous and a heck of a lot easier to move around than the full 4x12.
