Bogner Owners: School me on the Ecstacy

Honestly, never needed a compression or gain pedal with the xtc,or even my 20th shiva-my main country/rock amp..These amps have enough natural compression going for sure.Mainly stayed in blue ch for all of 3hrs save for hitting the boost every now and then.Sounded killer..although a bit more unforgiving than the 20th shiva.The room though was an acoustical nightmare,so not good to record there...Anyways,the 20th xtc 6l6 can easily do the modern country/rock thing with ease..and never even coming close to using all the gain up that amp has.I used an eventide pitchfactor in the xtc's loop--pretty much for the delay-the delay is really nice on the pf.Thats it,just pure tone oozing from the amp..

I owned an XTC 101b half stack and never bonded with it. I tried hard because it cost me so much but in the end it was more polished and polite than I liked. I love raw and cutting. Coming from Mesa and Splawn, I couldn't get along with the smoothness of the Bogner. Beautiful build and tones, just not for me. Try it first if you can.

No boost pedal. On the first vidI useda Hardwire delay on the mdulation setting. This puts a chorus type effect on the repeats. On the second vid just a Hardwire Supernatural pedal set for plate reverb

Your feedback probably makes the most sense for me being that you're a Splawn guy.
I had the same experience with the Friedman BE 100 and PT20. They just didn't have the grunt that I get from Splawn.
