all i know is this... you guys are scoring hella good deals on these xtcs wow... and to add again to this thread: I think EVERY Bogner sounds BADASS so it is preferences etc personal taste. I would have leaned towards an xtc until i got the vht 2502.. night and DAY with vht poweramps..

I have a 20th Shiva (in Marshall 1987 regalia); this 02 Purple should come in at the end of next week. So, at least for a bit, I'll have both. Then I'll decide. I also have a Kasha Brick for small stuff (when cranked sounds AWESOME).

Slef induced gas is it indeed...I think the 20th annv.XTC is one amp I wouldnt even have to demo to buy sight unseen..and I would never do that, until now.

Next to the PWE Evenet Horizon, the Shiva 20th (with El34s) is the best amp I have played in 20 years.

I have black sable sed 6550 in mine ,, Im glad to own it never play it but would never sell it orthe matching cab cuz I know personally how sweet of an amp it is,,, been through4 xtcs this year all gone

Yep. Really ticked me off, but I know the local sales guys hate stuff selling away because they have to pack it up AND lose the commission.

Thank you! It does sound very good (I don't know about ME, but the amp does). I have V1-V3 loaded with NOS EIs (Yugo), and the phase inverter slot has a Tung Sol. That makes it sound the most "Marshall soaked in butter".

I'm looking XTC because of the extra flexibility and I play Strats, a Tele, 2 Gibsons and an old Charvel.

Let me clarify, it was sold to someone else, not me after I called and reserved it. Not a big deal, as I insisted that it be done via my guy here in Dallas so that he would get the credit for the sale. So I was asking for this to happen.
