These things were hot a year and a half ago. Then Classifieds and eBay had a handful for sale. Now, you never see them for sale nor rarely discussed anymore. What's the scoop??

Anyone still rockin' and loving the Twin Jet? I saw that Juston Derrico has a black-face one in his current rig.

I had one when they first came out. Lets just say for the sake of starting a war that i got rid of it real fast.

Ha... the "wars" generally don't start unless "M**k C**eron's" name is mentioned....

Anyway, I had a Twin Jet as well last year. I really wanted to like the amp, and I did for a week. But, I was wanting and missing the standard Uberschall tones like the Rev-Blue and wasn't getting that so I sold it. Just curious if anyone else is enjoying the Twin Jet.

It's the same with most amps on here; flavor of the month, then on to the next

I had one earlier this year but sold it as we'll. I think Bogner is an amazing builder and I've got my eye out for a Shiva now. But the TJ had this "sizzle" (I call it that anyway) when pushing the preamp. Some guys I talked to flipped them from KT88 to EL34 and they were happy again. I tried everything, tubes, different cabs, cables, speakers, hell even different brand of strings but when it came down to having it modded I stopped and decided to let her go. I didn't want to have surgery unless necessary. It had great tone, especially for a high gain.

I played one and much prferred my 2nd revision model way more. I miss that amp from time to time.

Ya know I was gonna say well it's better than being a brown eye sniffer but then I remembered the Friedman BE. Dammit!!

I personally like the voicing and have been looking for a used one for a long time. It really comes down to money which is sad. Eventually i will own one

i had a twin jet for a little while but didnt like it as much as my rev blue and i sold it.

pretty boring amp if you ask me i sold it after a few months. it didn't really sound good to me unless i set it up with these insane scooped brutal fizzy settings

the first channel was awesome though, if bogner made a 2 channel amp with the twin jets first channel and a shiva clean channel id own it

the shiva is my favorite amp that bogner makes

IMO, the 88's did nothing for that amp, but make it brittle and sterile. A piggy-backed bias resistor and 6550's changed that though. A little less overwhelming than the Uber, but decent enough.

Anything else constructive to bring to the conversation or just the usual dribble? The man is asking about a Twin Jet.

I've had my TJ for a while now, closing in on a couple years I think. I bought Steve's old one. I tried KT88, 6550, EL34, and settled on some JJ 6CA7 which I really like in the amp. I liked my Rev Blue too, but this one sounds a bit more raw and open than my old blue, while still keeping plenty of the Uber flavor for my tastes. I really like the global pres and depth too, but the EQ is really odd on this amp. It took me a while to tweak the channel treble/presence/mid interaction, even coming from the blue. Having 2 dirty channels is also a bonus, since I rarely use a clean, and rolling off the vol on ch1 is enough for me. I really dig the mid growl/snarl this amp has, combined with the modern voicing and low end. I actually had the TJ and 20th XTC at the same time, and found myself dialing the XTC to sound more like the Uber oddly enough.

He was asking why the amp is rarely discussed anymore
That was my answer to the question: not because it's a bad amp, just because fads come and go.
If it's an opinion on the amp you want, I mostly think anything with KT88's sounds dry, sterile and flat
