I saw what looked like an old Uberschall at the local shop today. Got to fire it up, sounded pretty good, first time trying one. Didn't bother trying the clean channel but the lead was pretty bad ass... kind of seemed like a one trick pony compared to most of my amps but I liked it. I was wondering if anyone can help figure out what revision this might be and how much you think it might be worth? It wasn't priced yet and the shop's owner was off for the day but he is a cool guy and usually gives me a good deal. I'm just wondering what ball park I should expect with this model/year? Anyway any light you can shed would appreciated ?

So, yours is #167
If you do your due diligence in the Bogner section, I'm sure there is a way to come up with a date or Revision of your Uber.
Clean channel needs to be run wide open and still wont match the lead in terms of volume.

If it has a leather handle on the top it is likely a Rev2.

Any idea if there was a reason behind this, or just Bogner being Bogner?

Think he wears his underware backwards too.

He got banned from NAMM for a year after wearing nothing but a clear plastic raincoat at the Bogner booth.

There's pictures of it out there but you can search for them yourselves. :D

There are a few different revisions, this is early it could be a rev 2. Hard to tell without checking out the LED and the inside. I owned a rev blue, but have played a twin jet and a rev 2. The rev 2 was my favorite, but they all kind of do a similar thing. If it is a rev 2 you should have no shortage of people who want it (including me). I don't want to post past price ranges in case you (or anyone else want to resell and I'm the idiot that screws it up).

I've seen a Rev 1 Uber on reverb pretty recently for $2950 and I know someone who got another Rev 1 recently for $2700. I was considering that Rev 1 and had a counter offer of $2700, but was worried about taking a loss at that price. Probably should've went with it in retrospect

I've not yet tried a Rev 1, but Rev 2 was my favorite of all the other versions. Nice amp, but too smooth and polished for my taste and just thought my iic+ and Cameron modded Marshall I had at the time sounded better when AB'ed. Still curious about the Rev 1. Some say it's not much different and others say it has that special "it" factor and bigness that Rev 2 doesn't have. Only one way for me to find out for real

That's gonna be a Rev 2 (Green) from around May 2002. I had #169 a few years ago.

Worth $2k+, but I don't know what the Hawaii gear market is like.

There's rumor that a new version of the Uberschall is due out later this year. If it were me, I would hold off on buying.

I know miT from 311 has been gigging an Uber with a brass knuckles logo for over a decade now…been recording with one for around 20 years give or take. For a brootz amp they have amazing musicality. Those Bogner low mids and smooth top yet still raw af toanz just slay me.
