Looks like I have the opportunity to make a local trade for the xtc tonight. Always wanted one for the blue channel. Curious as to howany xtc owners are on here. How many were owners but eventually sold it off and why you sold it.

Cheers.

Still have my XTC Classic 10 years later and am very happy with it. But like all things, it's subjective, hope it works for you

Used to have a '99 101b, the best head i have owned, i have gotten rid of it in the past to go through the tone quest only to come back to a fish reissue + vht 2502. Still came back to the bogner sound, i think the xtc is very very awesome and has a huge sound.

Blue channel is about where it is at for hard rock/classic rock marshally tones. Red channel is anything heavier sounding or a thick lead channel. Best of the best, ecstacy is its name for a reason :) If i seen one for a killer price and had the cash i would most likely get one again if it matters.

Awesome head! Had one for 3 years and sold it for reasons unrelated to the amp

I want to get another eventually. Yes the Blue channel is heaven and kicking in the boost on that channel is the shizzle. :D

There's a white-chassis 101B on ebay now for $2500.00 USD.

Great stuff guys. You are getting me pumped. I would have loved for this to be the classic but I couldnt find a trade for one and didn't have enough coin to buy straight out.

I think it should be a nice compliment to my shiva.

Luv mine. Searching for an amp and knowing what tone I was looking for helped. Took 2 years researching to end up with one. I fell into the 20th X. It was way better than I though it would be and is what I was looking for. I have to say Im done :D

Good luck

Ecstasy 101B and Bogner 4x12 owner. Great amp, had mine since 04

I've got an '01 XTC Classic... Fantastic amp!!! I get compliments on it's tone often.

You forgot 100B, had mine for 8 years. Great amp, giged with it last night, but I'm prefering my Marsha these days.

Link? I can't find it when I search bogner.
Type in: Bogner Ecstasy. He has it up for $2500.00 or BO. I had both a 92 100B, and my 95 white-chassis 101B at the same time. I ended-up selling the 100B and my MK50H II in favor of the white chassis 101B. Not as compressed as the later XTC models; which may or may not be what you want? The cabinet switching option is the coolest feature ever!

I have a 20th Ecstasy and really like it...had a 101b before it, but wanted more of an open and cutting tone. My advice with these amps is to keep the gain as low as you can get by with and let the power section cook. Particularly if the 'B1' dip switch is engaged....I think I run my red channel gain at 10 o'clock and it sings for leads and crushes for heavy stuff. Great amps. My favorite of the Bogner line.

Great thread... There can never be too many "I LOVE MY XTC" threads

Was playing my 20thA last night - man, loaded with the GL-KT77s, that Blue channel is a masterpiece. Then again, so's the Red, and the Clean is as mentioned in another thread - big, piano like and a touch o' hair on it should ya wish

Awesome amps.

2004 101B and matching 4x12 slant cab here. My favorite amp and I have several.

20th Anniversary XTC is one of my favorite channel switchers.

Had an Ecstasy Classic. Great amp, but not as great as my Fish preamp. Unloaded the Classic and, about 6 months later, unloaded the Fish and all of my rack gear.

Now I have a 20th Anny Shiva, which I like better than both the XTC and Fish.

That having been said, the merry-go-round continues..... :D
