Both members were using the same amp in Lamb of God so yes of course they will both be heard..... I figured this is where things would go. Lets get back on topic , Im not saying the Mark cant cut Im saying a good Recto will dominate more than a MarkIV. I knew everyone would get a bit butt hurt. I didnt spend lots of time trying to get the MarkIV to be heard better and try lots of different settings. I tried some adjustments on the spot and it helped a little but still wasn't happy with the results.
With traditional settings maybe, but you can make a Mark dominate a Recto if you need to as well. Like me and others have said, it's all in the settings, and there are so many factors involved when dialing in a Mark live. You need to use the amp for a long time in a band situation to get it right, but when you do it's pretty fuckin killer sounding.

Just turn the volume up if you can’t hear it
LOL. that's what I used to do as a teenager. Then I'd drown everyone out and the singer would be really pissed off. But ya, sometimes you just need a little volume bump for sure... it can't hurt, if the other guys are still audible. What you're doing when you're raising those sliders is you are raising your volume a little with those specific frequencies, so an overall volume raise can sometimes be the answer.

People can't underestimate the importance of the pre-gain EQ as well. That determines the distortions texture... you can go from super smooth and purring, to grinding, aggressive and cutting with a couple notches of those EQ controls. Also, the pull fat, as good as it sounds alone, it's sometimes best to leave it pushed in for rhythms because it can muddy things up a bit and reduce your cut and clarity... if you need a little extra thickness try switching to mid-gain instead of harmonics.
