Boost for a Crate GX130c

Got a Crate GX130c today!

Played it thru a Tech 21 PE60 2x12 with celestions 70/80 (know they're not the best)

Using a Kramer vanguard with Quadrails pups,thought the amp sounded weak!

Played it agin with an Ibanez with Invader pup and it sounded more brutal.

New to guitar heads and looking into a cab.

Have been reading about boosting amps, any recommendations for boosting the GX130c?

What pedal(s) should I look into? Playing Deathmetal btw!

Don't want to spend much, have an Ampeg VH140c on the way.

If the GX130C isn't putting out punishing gain there may be a problem with the OT -- That happened to one of mine.

BBE Boosta Grande or Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster pedal would be a cheap way to hit the front end with 20+ dbs.

There are more expensive options of course.

The GX130C doesn't need a boost, but it does sound rad with an HM2 for that old Swedish sound.
