Boost Pedals for Marshall’s, what’s great?

How do you set your DT ?you use it with Marshall ?

I always use it in TC mode. You can set it to be effectively flat if you start with the Bass knob really high and the Treble knob really low. From there it just acts like a really well-tuned two-band EQ pedal. You can use it on anything high gain if you start it out to be dialed neutrally like that.

The Treble knob feels like a Tilt EQ that doesn't impact the lows, and the Bass knob feels like a tilt EQ that doesn't impact the highs. From flat, I just lower the Bass until it's tight but not anemic, and then I raise the Treble until it's aggressive but not shrill.

I just got a Bogner Burnley that is pretty interesting. It’s the anti TS or SD-1. Works better if you use its gain and set the Marshall pre to 3-4 (6 knob amps). I’m getting an obscenely fat and gnarly overdrive that gives feedback at lower volumes. I got the v2. Which has a switch to make it a little tighter but even that setting is big. Getting some great stoner/doom rhythm sounds but it’s much more together than a fuzz for lead playing.

My favorite boosts for Marshalls, and Marshall-y voiced amps are;
Majik Box “Rocket Fuel” OD
Majik Box “Jake E Lee/Body Blow”
Metropoulos “Supa Boost”

Burnley also sounds great into if you wind up the gain and master and use the low input of the 800. Also sounds killer in front of a plexi!

I’ve had luck with it with some amps . But not Marshall’s

Give Wayne a shout bro… there’s a reason why we call him the master…

I would start here

The Chiron ( Klon clone ) is in my top three ...

The Super Dupah Drive is also a really good one ... about as versatile as you can get for a SD-1

there's a few more options here

but when it comes to drives , boosts , fuzzes and distortions I can pretty much build you anything

BB pre , TS and SD-1 You have already, it seems like. I love DOD YJM308/Fender Malmsteen OD in front of a Marshall with the YJM Strat. Klon KTR and Analogman Prince of Tone work nicely as well.

Majik Box “Rocket Fuel” OD

Metropoulos “Supa Boost”

Those are 3 boosts that I have not tried, but have always wanted one of the Majik Box pedals. Don't see them pop up for sale very often at all.

I just recently picked up a REVV G3 V2 and love it.

It seems to be marketed more for it's preamp capabilities so I was skeptical and concerned that'd it wouldn't jive with the high input of the 2203. But Dayum, what a surprise!

I keep the 2203 set up for AC/DC type crunch and for high gain chugs, this thing is fantastic. Previously I was using a Barber Gain Changer. But the G3 is just next level.

The lower gain boosts i use are a Klone and Friedman Golden Pearl clone.

All running through greenback loaded 412 cabs.

As always, ymmv.

Jubes and 800s are different beasts. Jubes are darker and squishier. 800's bring the clang back.

So you really need two boosts. I vote Treble Booster or EP Boost for the Jube, and MXR Fat Sugar or Special Cranker for the '800.
