Boost Pedals for Marshall’s, what’s great?

Report back on the TC Spark full size. It is legit! It does the volume/lead boost thing great. Maybe a bit more than the Spark mini I originally bought for this application.I use it after a Griffin Analog Super Drive for this.
It also makes a great boost on it's own to push my JCM 800 over the top. I dialed the volume back to unity and turned the gain up. I tend to prefer the 3 position switch in the "fat" for either use.

How about an EQ pedal? It'll give you any kind of boost you want.
The only "color" it adds is whatever color you want (or none at all, just a flat boost.)

I like the analog JHS Colour Box. FULL CONTROL over my tone with plenty of boost through variable gains stages. Also acts as a pre-amp pedal in a pinch.

Also you can't go wrong with the Source Audio EQ2, it's the best for versatility, and it's used on many pro players boards.... Outstanding quality sound and control.

The Empress ParaEQ is best if you want an analog parametric EQ/boost.

I'm not reading all 63 posts as I am betting it's been said a dozen times that..... BOSS SD-1 is the holy grail of marahall boost pedals!

Out of all the boost pedals I've cycled through my 2203 over the years, Vintage OD-1's, Vintage SD-1's, Vintage MXR Dist+, Airis Savage Drive, Suhr Original 2 button Koko, Ibanez TS9, Furman PQ3, Empress Parametric EQ and a few more. All of these are really good and I lked them all to a certain extent.

The following are the pedals I like the most:

For Classic Rock to Hard Rock

SRB OD808 Boutique 808 and SD-1 in one pedal that has a three way clipping and fat switch, company closed down hard to find now
Maxon OD808, I hear the OD808X is awesome as well, even though I have the SRB I did buy the Maxon OD808 twice that's how much I liked it after I stupidly sold my first one. It just has that something you can't quite put your finger on but it has it that set it apart from my SRB OD808.

For boosting into metal and more modern territory

VFE Standout EQ pedal( I bought from Psychodave, thanks DAVE is still luv it) I actually prefer it to my Parametric EQ's,
Maxon ST9 pro plus


The Furman PQ3/PQ4 are still good but these new Master Effects PQ3 PQ4 pro pedals are something I want to try out.

Too many to list and honestly, having tried probably 30 different ones, even though I prefer some over others - NONE of them sounded "bad," so tough to go wrong.

Right now I am gigging with my JCM800 2204 (to the chagrin of my bandmates who think I am too loud) and I am using a Wampler Tumnus Deluxe and/or a Tube Screamer mini. The Tumnus really gives this amp a kick in the teeth and the EQ section is super useful.
