Boosting your Budda

I've recently acquired a Budda Superdrive 18 1x12 and I can't play it enough. It is easily the best amp that has suited my needs. I wanted to know from you fellow Budda players, what are you using to boost your Budda for your low gain and high gain applications?

I had a Superdrive 18 quite a long time ago, and I absolutely loved it and miss it all the time. Probably one of the amps I regret getting rid of most next to my Vibrolux. I used a MXR Micro Amp and a Boss Blues Driver and liked both. That is one of those amps that just takes pretty much any pedal well.

I used a EP Boost and a Timmy when I had my SD80. EP was rawer and in your face while the Timmy was a little more smooth sounding. Just used them as a boost for solos.

That amp took very well to the SD-1. Better than my OD808. The Maxon was too thick and nasally. The SD-1 had the right amount of low cut to make things tight.

Would a boost help the 18 to push a 412 well?

Over the weekend, I bought an DOD250 and I took it back. It was nice for pushing your preamp a bit more, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. So I took it back and got a chinese made Rat to run into the clean channel of my budda. I have never played a Rat before, and I am not sure if it's the pedal/amp combo, but WOW!!! This combo kicks ass!!! Nice thick tones! Increase filter and you are in instant eric johnson. Lower the Gain, increase volume, lower the filter to desired clarity and I'm in SRV or Gilmour wonderland. So glad I've finally got to try the rat.

Now I'd like to find something in the SD1 vein but with top mounted jacks. Any suggestions?

I have the SD30 and love it with either an 808 type of pedal or my modded sd-1. A bone stock sd-1 or a bad monkey are both excellent and super cheap. It really seems to do well with most pedals I have ever put in front of it.
