D'pergo makes a great guitar, certainly the best bolt-on Fender style guitar that I've ever played, and I had two of them at one point. He also seems to be sort of nice guy just from the two times that I spoke to him on the phone. That being said, this motion that he is bringing in court is just nuts. I knew he was absolutely paranoid about his product, but this is bit far to say the least. I mean what dumb ass rival guitar company would send PM's to people offering them money to spread crap about d'pergo? No idiot leaves a paper trail like that.

I don't doubt they're nice, your endorsement is enough for me considering your track record. My comments are mostly directed about the pure wack factor of the whole thing, and I was serious about the comment re: economics vs. libel as the reason he's sales have dropped.

None of that changes the fact those headstocks are just fugly though

I heard there is a lawsuit now in progress. Brian Wampler is suing you for the mis-spelling of his last name. Your post could have increased sales but instead you are sending potential customers on a long journey of looking for pedals that don't exist. Who paid you to do this?

You might be surprised. Lots of stupid people out there. In the same way that some people get paid to talk nice about a certain product, I am certain there are those who get paid to sling shit as well. Talk is way cheap on the internet. So far, you can pretty much say and be whoever you want on message boards. There is alot of bullshit out there.

I don't know if thats true. Everything you read on the internet must be true because somebody wrote it, correct? Like Michael from The Office said - Wikipedia is the best source of accurate info on the internet because people put the information in there themselves ! and nobody would exagerate or misrepresnt themselves, would they ?

Definitely agreed on the headstock-looks sort of like a penis head. They're great guitars, but I don't think they're worth what they cost that's for sure. The studio soft top I had was awesome, but a similar built anderson or suhr would've been over a grand less. For cheap asses like me, the 5% better thing wasn't worth the extra grand!
