Jon Hill is a local builder. He's built guitars for Scott Hill ( skid row) and the bass player for Godsmack. Ive been needing another superstrat and the price on this is making is hard to pass up at less than a Charvel So Cal or San Dimas. Its nothing exciting in the way of superstrats but its this or an EVH striped.

Thoughts ?

Im a fan of them. I also am a fan of Asian chicks.. I want 5 of them bent over with a glass of champagne on each of their asses..

I fuck one, take a sip, move on down the line and continue round and round till all the champagne is done.

  ill make sure to pick up some champagne then....

Support your local builder!!!! HAHA... Shit i'll buy it if you don't like it. Looks like a cool guitar and I always love trying out new guitars. Resale probably sucks but who cares....

I'm not really a fan of the headstock shape but it's not as bad as some out there on the market....I say if the build quality is good and if it plays and sounds sweet then by all means rock it !

why not go for it?
I am sure the build and play quality is great.
Headstock reminds me of the old Yamaha Pacifica guitars.

This is about the most bizarre response to this particular question I could have imagined.

Not that I am aware of. He was Hill guitars but he sold the line and had to rebrand himself as Bootleg. He is a very cool guy. Im stopping buy his shop to test drive a few of these tomorrow morning. The resale value would be squat but Im not going to be out much anyway.

looks a bit like a hockey stick to me. Luckily I like hockey....

John builds great guitars, i played one of his new les paul body styles today. single hum, floyd. Killer guitar

here is that yamaha guitar I was mentioning.....
I would rock that bootleg guitar for sure!

Jon is one of the best virtually unknown builders out there. Pays stupid attention to all the details, and small things that most overlook. Other than Jon sailing his brand of Hill guitars he actually ran the Dean Custom Shop when Dean was making there resurgence back to where they belonged in the top brands.

Whats he asking for that Super strat?
Again....for a kick ass "no-frills' guitar....looks like it delivers the goods.

No that guy is in Michigan about 45 minutes from where I live. He is a decent guy as well.

I've played a few of his guitars. I think I met him a few times. I wasn't a fan, but I know a few local guys who are.

Does he build from scratch or tweak and assemble pre-made parts?
