Boring NPD!

I'm retiring my trusty old TU-2 for a Peterson Strobostomp HD. The Boss is a great tuner, but man it SUUUUUUCKS on a bright outdoor stage. I literally built a cardboard shield to try and make it usable at our last outdoor gig, still very tough to see. The Strobostomp looks awesome and gets rave reviews, excited to get it on the board.

Not really boring at all. A Peterson is killer, and if it has sweetened tunings, even better. I've had a strobo clip on for a few years and love it. Congrats ewill52!

Yeah, that's not boring. That's a great upgrade. Not only will it tune better, but it will improve your tone. Buffer to buffer, I would take the Peterson, but you can also run the Strobostomp in true bypass if it's in front of something sensitive. I'm using the mini on my board.

Wait 'til you set intonation on your favorite guitar with a fresh set of strings using the Peterson. Its almost surprising how much better everything sounds - especially if (like me) you had gotten used to having 'close' intonation instead of 'bullseye' intonation. Its almost like playing a whole new guitar.

I'll second this 100%.

I was skeptical at first. A bandmate bought a Peterson tuner and I asked to give it a try during a rehearsal. My guitar immediately just sounded better. I didn't even say anything to him about it, I just went out and bought one for myself and then told him that I was so blown away by how much more in tune and good the guitar sounded that I had to have it.

my mind is blown. Got it on the board, and it's substantially better than my TU-2 in both accuracy and to my ears, the buffer sounds better. Maybe i'm imagining it, but it sounds better!?!

i prefer the TC polytune for visibility (and everything else)

Especially on stage the polytune LEDs are just a million times more visible than anything else

but the strobostomp is a huge upgrade from a TU - that's not boring at all

I've got a standard one and a mini and my bassist has one as well. It is one of those things you buy that kicks ass because it does exactly what is should.
