It's cool because it runs on batteries, but sucks because it doesn't come with a power adapter. The last BOSS product I had was a GT-8. I think the sound of their modeling has improved since. This unit is very fun to play with headphones, but it's too noisy through the input of an amp. It's small and portable so I might keep it around just for that. I bought it just to add some effects, but it's not good through the front of an amp and it's OK through the loop. It's all plastic, so I doubt it's durability. For $200 it should include a power adapter. If you want it for modeling and recording direct, then it's fantastic. If you want to use it with tube amps, it's not so fantastic.
