BOSS HM-2 Waza Into a Marshall JCM800 2203 -- Everything else sounds wimpy now to me

I tried many different settings on both the amp and the pedal, in front of the amp, and recorded four of them today.
But I ended up with this. Who would have thought. 😅🙈

To those Chainsaw connoisseurs:
Which one do you prefer?
1️⃣ 0:00 Tape Presence with Mid-Side processing
2️⃣ 0:28 Tape Presence in standard Stereo
That's the only difference.
Guitars and Bass are raw.

28 second one

Also the chainsaw sound works way better with your style of riffing than the boosted 800

If you want the best of both worlds maybe try quad tracking and combining the two? Simulate the clean blend a lot of the boutique chainsaw clones have.

Thanks. Yes, I tried that today. It does sound good combining the two. But that would lead me to a dual amp set-up. I already thought about that, but that would make things a lot more complicated, at least live, if I ever play live again. 😅

thats definitely gnarly. I too would like to hear it quad tracked with your old set up

Need to introduce you to a Rivera rock crusher attenuator. You’ve got to get those rookie master volume levels up above 2 where the biting attitude comes to life.

Sounds great! Also look into a Dunn Death Knob or GCI Murdock Jr if you want to use your amp gain but with a bit of HM2 flavor.
