Sorry for the wait guys, but I'm back!
Episode 9: Boss OD-3 Overdrive
The OD-3 has long been one of the pedals I've wanted to try out. I've owned the OD-1 on three separate occasions, and stupidly sold it each time. I remember not being a huge fan of the OD-1, but I was pleasantly surprised by the OD-3.
I really did enjoy messing with the OD-3. It has a nice smooth character that sounds very amp-like. And unlike most other Boss drive pedals, it works in front of a clean amp quite well! That's a huge plus in my book. I didn't have to crank the level to max just so it could get to unity gain.
Out of all the overdrive pedals I've reviewed so far, this is my favorite. Although, there is one overdrive review that's on the way that is pretty darn cool!
