. . . for 129 Euros. :D

East europe production, frontloaded, 200 Watts, 8 Ohm (not sure which speakers). The thing isn't made out of MDF, but ply (no idea what kind). I'm really curious to check it out tonight. Of course I already have a set of Celestions to swap them in.

Got it for amptesting - nothing to gig with (who knows . . . :D )

Here's a vid:

:D

You can get those with V30`s as well, I think? For the money, it`s gotta be decent :D

Yo, but I have them lying around already.

Interstingly the price of two single V30s is higher than the price of the HB V30s loaded cab. :D

Not too bad. A bit muffled and not too resonant, typical frontloader.

Already replaced one of the (seriously heavy) speakers with a Century Vintage.

Consider tryin a pair of Celestion G12-65s! I have 4 of em in my 70's Marshall 4x12 and theyre awesome!! I like em much more than Greenbacks, 75's, 100's, etc. They stay tight, but have a smooth top end and nice mids

hi olaf! haven't been on the boards much this summer. my wife has got some projects she wants done around the house and our son is getting ready to attend tech school in about three weeks to study automotive technology. so between work.. projects.. and getting the kid ready for school it's been pretty busy. hope things are well with you and yours. :)
just a question about your new cab. what is the baffle made out of?

Thanks for he suggestion, Dan. I replaced the second speaker with a V30s too. Much better now.

Hi Dave, we're all fine, thanks for asking, just came back from vacation in France.

No idea, I like it better with the grille off, but with a three old running thru the house I prefer to keep he cab dressed, you know :)

Fantastic!!

Best thing is that I've replaced the logo with one of mine      ;)

i was just thinking that if the baffle and back were birch ply it might help.

Interesting.

Hey a fellow over there in Germany just bought my Earcandy Buzzbomb 2X12 that you may know.. Dieter Enderlein. If you've never heard one and you know the guy, I'd encourage you to go listen to it. It's the best sounding 2X12 I've ever heard in my life.....diezel 2X12's included... :scared:

Now I get it - the baffle is the wood which keeps the speakers, right? Thats ply - the whole cab is actually. Sounds pretty good now, esp. for the money.
I still have my old Marshall 4x12" and my Diezel 2x12", which is my gigging stuff. This is just for testing DIY stuff, Dave.

Thanks for the suggestion FRPC, I'll have a look.

You should check out the new 2x12" semi-open hempcone filled Diezels when they are available in the US. Stapfer is building them right now until the container is full :D
Thats a breathtaking cab - I never ever heard something better.

Since I have to stand back while all the international pros get their hempcone, I have to wait for mine a bit longer. I can't wait, you know . . .

yes.. the baffle is where the speakers mount. i'm sure that with your ears you will be able to hear the differences between your various cabs when you tweak your amps.
hemp cone diezel's? i bet they kick ass. jeebus.. when are the states going to get over thier paranoia about hemp?

--> Tone Tubbys, Dave. They are made in the US AFAIK.

If you have a semi-open 1x12" or a combo: give them a try. Unbelieveable sound when cranked a bit. Available as AlNiCos or ceramics (Diezel uses ceramics of course :D ).

My lowly little 30 watt EL84 Crate V3112T 1X12 combo has a tone tubby in it. You're correct... unreal tone for such a small little amp. Very full, deep and rich tone.

My brother has the exact same amp only with a generic celestion and it doesn't sound NEARLY as good.

The TT speaker has a much darker, smoother and "smoky" type sound to it. Very pleasing upper high's as well. Not harsh at all. Very smooth and glassy.

Is this the new Schmidt cab you're talking about? Regardless, it's about time someone made a decent semi/open back 2X12 that can give the bogner open back 2X12 a run for it's money.

yes.. i know about them and canabis rex. i'm just saying that hemp is a multifaceted product and the powers that be over here don't want it grown on a commercial scale.
if the tone tubby sounds similar to the fane in my laney i could build another extension cab for it. thanks for the input. :) i was thinking about ordering a reeves cab at some point in the future since thier purple speaker is supposed to be similar to a fane. that's what my aor needs.. imo.
i tried a v-30 in an extension cab with my laney.. but they don't sound similar.. so that was the end of that experiment.
