Fired up the amp this afternoon after band practice. Solid State rectifier setting, EL34's. It sounded GREAT.
I'm expecting a cab quote from Mesa tomorrow, and I'll take the amp to a local authorized Mesa repair shop to have it looked over to confirm there is no other damage to the amp that I might be missing. Only thing I noticed that sounded weird was a very high frequency buzz/static whenever I played (distorted)... almost like a paper tearing but not quite. Not sure if that's just part of the sonic signature of the amp or if it's something wrong. It was barely noticeable but definitely there and I was unable to EQ it out.
In any case, I think you're going to be seeing a bunch of gear I'll be unloading in the not too distant future. This amp, my Sig X, and my Pittbull Classic are the only three I really feel like I need or even want in my stable. Otherwise they're all too redundant.
