Have you played with Eventide H8000FW yet? What are your thoughts on the unit?

That's no Tourmaster, that's a MOD100, a very expensive and hard to find amp that's not made anymore... just an FYI.

Yeah, a Mod 100 is about 3x as expensive as a tourmaster.

Dave and I have been talking for some time about building a monster rig for me to keep at Tone merchants to showcase Racksystems. Brads rig will be pretty tuff to match. Brad how do u plan on using the Axe fx?

Hey Rob,

The Axe-Fx will primarily be used for the effects blocks most notably the reverbs. Of course it does so much more and I plan to spend allot of time building sounds with it. I also have the TC 2290 Delay not pictured yet that will handle the Delays and Chorus effects.

That power amp is pretty weak. You could've used a 2150 or a 2100.

I went through lots of demos of power amps before choosing the VHT 2/50 for this build. I actually have a VHT 2100 classic in a rack doing nothing at the moment. The VHT 2/50 can really be pushed and has a real round tone to it I like.

The MOD100 head is insane sounding, one of the best heads I ever owned, something about the way the preamp and power section in that particular head respond that knocks my dick in the dirt so I wanted it in this rig. I also like to run a W/D/W rig when I can and to do so I run the MOD100 Dry out to a 4x12 and then slave out of it into the M4's and VHT Poweramp to tri-amp my signal. Works well and is a elaborate but crazy good sounding way to run a rig IMO.

Wow good memory, I have a D/V module as the 11th one and remember Dave Friedman is moding and tweaking many of these modules with his own ideas.

Board is the Axess Electronics FX-1 with a Stereo Fulltone Deja Vibe Pedal, Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah, Boss Volume pedal and Korg Tuner.

I haven't got it yet, its in the mail to me as I type. It is the Flagship for Eventide and from everything I have heard and read it is supposed to be the end all guitar effects processor with amazing textures and sound quality. I think there is like 3000 presets in it It is a bit overkill for my application and at over $5K it better sound damn good!

I am going to add a few Mesa Road King II 4x12's and from there I will concentrate on adding to my guitar arsenal and using all of this stuff.

Brad,

I strongly suggest going bogner or Mills Acuostics.

The roadking cabs are "OK". With what you ahve invested there, get the best.
