Have you played with Eventide H8000FW yet? What are your thoughts on the unit?

I haven't got it yet, its in the mail to me as I type. It is the Flagship for Eventide and from everything I have heard and read it is supposed to be the end all guitar effects processor with amazing textures and sound quality. I think there is like 3000 presets in it  It is a bit overkill for my application and at over $5K it better sound damn good! :gethim:

Brad, I might be wrong, but I think you owned an Eventide Eclipse at some point. If you owned one, how did you like it?

I am going to add a few Mesa Road King II 4x12's and from there I will concentrate on adding to my guitar arsenal and using all of this stuff.

Brad,

I strongly suggest going bogner or Mills Acuostics.

The roadking cabs are "OK". With what you ahve invested there, get the best.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to go to Rudys and Ultrasound in NYC and demo everything.

Hey Jaakko,

Yes I had an Eclipse when they first came out. I liked the sounds in that box allot. The programming was a bit cumbersome but you couldn't argue with the sound quality. I sold it when I got my Axe-Fx Ultra as the effects in it where as good if not better in my opinion.

The Eventide H8000FW is supposed to have more going on and be more logical to run. I am excited to try it out in my Diezel rig.

Insane rack Brad!   Its great to see someone be able to put their ideal rig together.

Love it!

Dave, do you(or anyone here) know where I can get long length power cable like the ones that go from pedals to a PP2?

Wow, great rack setup

Out of curiosity, why did you sell the CAA cabs?

Thanks for the info! Post a review of the H8000FW among the other new things after you've spent some time with them.

Wow Brad, that thing is a giant killer! Very suitable for a USMC machine gunner

I would go with port city cabs. The 4x12os sounds huge and matched with the 1x12os is the perfect w/d/w

Wow, what I would give to have a rack like that! Very nice Brad!

Your rig's looking great Brad!!! Wouldnt it be great if a guitar mag would do a whole issue on racks, and not just the stars',but ours too! Ive spent 20 years to get mine to the point it is now, and it's still changing   ,but I am in love with everything in it. Ya know, some folks cut on the "rack thing" and about spending tons of moola on them, but ,I can tell you a friend of mine just dropped $3,500.00 on a set of golf clubs :confused:so go figure : ;) Take care Brad....

Cool rig! Can you offer insight as to why you opted for the rack over a second Egnater head? Thanks!
