breaking strings... When did it stop happening ???

I play huge strings now but have only broken three strings EVER in 25 years.

I break them once in a while... but I rarely change my strings. I got my white Charvel in Feb of 2016 and I’m on my 3rd set of strings. I typically play several hours a day and a lot on the weekends. When I do break a string it maingly happens at the bridge. I use a Floyd, so I unwind some from the tuner and keep using the same string.

I have a very heavy hand and my wound strings have been known to wear through the outer wrapping.
